RECAP
• One Dimensional Bar Diagram ( Simple and Sub
Divided Bar Diagram) Problem--------02
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• After Studying this unit, the students able to know
how to present data Graphically using Histogram,
Frequency Polygon and Curve, and Pie charts and
working out cumulative frequency
LEARNING OUTCOMES
• Students will be able to analyze and interpret with
in the Contexts they are written in Diagrams and to
present data Graphically using Histogram,
Frequency Polygon and Curve, and Pie charts
SESSION - 20
• One Dimensional Bar Diagram ( Percentage and
Multiple Bar Diagram) Problem--------02
One Dimensional Bar Diagrams
• PERCENTAGE BAR DIAGRAM
Sub-divided bar diagram presented on a percentage
basis is known as Percentage Bar Diagram.
percentage bar diagram will be more appealing than
sub-divided bar diagram. Also, comparison between
components is much easier using percentage bar
diagram.
value of individual item
X 100
% of Individual item = Total value
CONTD
QUESTION . 1
• Total expenditure incurred on various heads of two
schools in an year are given below. Draw a suitable
bar diagram.
(Source; www.brainkart.com)
CONTD
SOLUTION;
The component bar diagram is presented in Fig 4.5

CONTD
• Multiple Bar Diagram
When more than one phenomenon is to represent is
one diagram, we should use multiple bar diagram.
The technique of drawing the multiple bar is same as
that of simple bar diagram.
This is useful to present the two or more set of
interrelated data.
CONTD
QUESTION 02
Construct a multiple Bar Diagram. From the following
information ( Source http://eagri.org/)
Year
Sales
(Rs.)
Gross
Profit (Rs.)
Net Profit
(Rs.)
1974 100 30 10
1975 120 40 15
1976 130 45 25
1977 150 50 25
