This survey analyzed behavioural changes in humans during the COVID-19 lockdown. It found that most people (84.2%) were students studying from home online. Some professionals (7.3%) and government employees (1.3%) worked from home. People spent more time on smartphones (50.4% for over 4 hours) watching YouTube (66.1%), and using apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Zoom. Many learned new skills like cooking (42.4%) and yoga (25.7%). The lockdown increased smartphone, tablet, and PC usage as well as social media engagement as people had more free time. 4. WORKING STATUS
Since 84.2% people are students. Hence
most of them are studying from home
via online method.
Some of them are IT professionals and
private employees(7.3%) are working
from home.
1.3% are the government employees of
which some of them are working from
home and some on an alternate basis.
0.2% people are teachers and lectures
who are taking classes online.
5. ENTERTAINMENT SOURCE
During this lockdown we lost many sources of
entertainment like parks, movie, etc.
Movies and web series are the major source with a
53.9%.
The second major source was social media.
The next major source of entertainment was
playing games both online and offline with
friends and family.
Many of them are spending time with their family
and some of them are utilizing their time in
learning new skills.
6. NUMBER OF HOURS SPENT ON
SMARTPHONE
Since 84.2% people are students and most
of them are studying from home via online
method hence we saw a increase in hours
spent on smartphone.
We found that 50.4% of people use their
smartphone for more than 4 hours.
There are 11.2% peoples are their who use
their smartphone for less than 2 hours.
We also found that there is a hike in the use of
smartphone, tablets and personal computers.
7. APPS USED MOST DURING THE LOCKDOWN
We found that there is a hike in the use of
social medias as more time we are getting
during this lockdown.
We saw YouTube was the most used app
with 66.1% of peoples.
Other most used apps were WhatsApp,
Facebook, Instagram and Zoom.
We also found that there is a hike in the e-
learning apps.
8. LERNING NEW SKILLS
Since 84.2% people are students. Hence most of
them are studying from home via online
method.
Many peoples were utilizing their times in
learning new skills.
We found that 42.4% of people were learning
cooking and 25.7% people were using their time
in doing Yoga and Exercises.
Many were using this time in reading Novels
and Magzines.
9. CONCLUSION
After this survey results we got the following
conclusion:
We saw a hike in the use of smartphone, tablets and
PC and internet.
We found that students are changing their old method
of learning and are switching to the online learning.
We also saw a hike in the use of social medias as
people are getting more time to spent.
We also analyzed that people are changing their
behaviour and utilizing their time in learning new
skills.
Most number of people are switching to the online
medium for their work for all type of their work
weather it is learning new skills or working from
home.
