combustion in energy and industry representing
in 2019 about 13%, and 24%
• Emissions deriving from non industrial
combustion plants and road transport represent
only about 10% and 0.3% of the total in 2019.
• Production processes and other mobile sources
and machinery also present a significant
decreasing trend, with 25% and 25% respectively
at 2019

• Total emissions show a reduction of about 71% from
1990 to 2019
• The main source of emissions is road transport (40%)
• Other mobile sources and machinery in 2019
contributes to the total emissions for 21%
• Combustion in energy and in industry having a share on
the total of about 6% and 8% in 2019, respectively
• non industrial combustion plants accounts for 14%

94% contribution out of the total NH3 in 2019
• Emissions from road transport share on the total
is 1.5%
• Emissions from waste treatment and disposal,
accounting also only for 2.5% of the total

emissions in 2019, a decrease of 30% compared
to 1990

for 5% of the total

• Decrease can be attributed to modernization of industry in Italy
