1. Greek Mythology Wanted Posters
• Take five minutes to add any necessary finishing touches to your
Greek Mythology Wanted Posters.
• Remember that in your presentation you must:
1) Read the paragraph you wrote for your god/goddess/creature and
2) Describe your picture, explaining why you made the choices you made in
your visual depiction.
2. Writing Prompt (5 min)
On a single sheet of paper, describe a time when you were heroic. Consider
the following questions in your description:
• Was this a spontaneous act or something you thought about for some
time?
• What were the obstacles to your success? Were there any foes?
• Was there someone older, wiser, or more experienced who was able to
help you?
• What do you think were those qualities in you that helped you to act so
heroically?
• If you were to compare yourself to any other hero, who would it be?
You should write for the entire 5 minutes. Be prepared to share your
answers. You will turn this in.
4. Profile of a Hero: Odysseus
• Latin name: Ulysses
• King of Ithaca
• Husband to Penelope and father of
Telemachus
• Known for his guile, or sly or cunning
intelligence
• Also known for his pride
• Fought in the Trojan war for 10 years and
fought to return home for 10 years
• While he was away, suitors flooded his
home and tried to woo Penelope.
