The students promise:
• To respect everyone in the class,
listen to the teacher and to each
other.
• Not to use mobile phones unless
asked to do so.
• Not to speak their first language
unless absolutely necessary.
• To be friendly and supportive to
their classmates
• To speak as much English as
possible outside the classroom.
• To be in class on time
The teacher promises:
• To be patient and supportive
• To teach useful study skills
• To make lessons interesting
• Not to shout at the students
• To try to write on the board
more clearly (this is going to be
hard)
• To be in class on time

Assigning roles in class
- Bell person (volume controller)
- Classroom contract expert
- Seating manager
- Assistant for late comers
- Mobile phones collector
- Spelling supervisor
- Five-minute teacher
