Latex beads coated with antibodies against six serovars of Group A strep were mixed with a patient sample. Agglutination occurred in well 4, indicating the presence of the corresponding serovar antigen in the patient sample. Agglutination shows the binding of antibodies on the beads to antigens in the patient sample.
