Plant 610 & 611 E/I ESDS
Development
• Worked with Krunal Shukla & Bharat Vora to develop E/I
equipment strategies for OPP and Primary Extraction.
• Successfully completed task, developing more than 30
ESDSs covering all relevant equipment tags.
• Developed a good understanding of different failure modes and
maintenance strategies for each asset.
• Gained understanding about the process followed to determine Risk
Ranks, Cost of Equipment Outage, Cost of Shutdown, Major Overhaul
Frequency etc.
• Learnt about 610 & 611 Process and Electrical systems while developing
ESDSs by going through relevant drawings, control narratives and
operating philosophies.
• Developed an understanding about the difference in reliability
approaches such as Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance,
Condition Based Monitoring etc.
Plant 613 & 614 E/I ESDS
Development
• Worked with Adnan Zaheer & Riekert Panther to develop all
E/I ESDSs for tailings area.
• Collected required information using equipment manuals,
datasheets and other relevant documents to develop over 20
ESDSs.
• Reviewed ESDSs with Tailings CFT and followed up for final
approval.
• Supported RPD in developing associated reliability plans.
• Expanded upon understanding developed while creating Plant 610 & 611
ESDSs.
• Learnt about 613 & 614 Process while developing ESDSs by going
through relevant control narratives and operating philosophies.
• Gained exposure to RPD and their work in developing required plans
using ESDSs.
System Scoping for PE &
Tailings Plants
• Utilized CASS tool to develop a consolidated list of
equipment tags per system
• Re-scoped revised Electrical SLDs.
• Performed tag list validation to ensure tag to system
accuracy and tag list completeness.
• Developed proficiency in using different features of the CASS tool to
scope engineering drawings and generate required reports.
• Learnt the SLDs to develop a good understanding of electrical equipment
layout within PE & Tailings.

2. Room & Location Allocation
for Assets within PE &
Tailings
• Aided Krunal Shukla and Pedro Pulido in assigning room &
location to assets within PE.
• Assigned E-house (5th level FLOC) for Tailings electrical
assets for Pedro.
• Learnt how room & location is determined for an equipment on site
• Developed an understanding about the effectiveness of assigning room
& location to assets in order to develop effective and time-efficient
maintenance strategies.
Tailings ACR Review • Supported Riekert Panther and Sarmad Ahmed in facilitating
ACR review sessions with Tailings CFT by preparing list of
tags to be covered.
• Concept behind ACR and factors considered by CFT before assigning a
ranking to any asset.
RCM for PE & SE • Supported AST through RCM process for plants 610 & 611.
Actively participated in multiple sessions to learn about the
RCM process.
• Worked with AST to develop RCM reports for over 7
systems in Plant 610 & 611.
• Facilitated pre-session preparation for Plant 612 RCM by
collecting required information about different assets which
are to be covered during the first set of RCM sessions.
• Developed proficiency in using Meridium Software. Utilized software for
different requirements including the development of consolidated list of
actions and generation of RCM reports.
• Gained understanding of how an RCM process works.
• The methodology behind performing a rigorous RCM on an asset.
• Reporting structure utilized to report RCM and topics covered in the
report providing detail about purpose, scope of work, approach and types
of recommendations
Spare Part Strategy
Development for OPP & SE
• Worked with Jesus Hernandez and Adnan Zaheer on this
task.
• Collected information from datasheets and equipment
manuals to identify long-lead items. Prepared reports listing
these items and sent them to supply chain.
• Determined long-lead status for all E&I tags within plant 612
and supported development of initial spare strategies for all
OPP ESDSs.
• Criteria behind identifying an E/I equipment as long lead item.
Engineering Walk-down
(Inspection of E-Houses)
• Participated in walk downs with senior electrical engineers to inspect E-
Houses and identify any areas of concern.
• Participated in meetings where punch items are highlighted and
discussed after each walk down.
• Adhered strictly to Suncor’s PPE protocol and safety culture throughout
each walk-down.
• Gained a better understanding about different electrical assets through
these walk-downs.
3. Monthly Stewardship
Reports
• Collected information from different team members to
develop monthly stewardship reports.
• Maintained progress tracker to generate graphs displaying
progress made each month.
• Got a chance to meet the team members and work with them on one-on-
one basis.
• By collecting input from team members, learnt about different factors
affecting overall progress of Fort Hills reliability work for fixed plants,
mining and NPA.
United Way Campaign
Calgary
• As floor ambassador reached out to all Suncor employees
and contractors on the 38th floor to help raise awareness
about United Way initiatives and facilitate fund raising
activities.
