Quiz feedback
Based on the quiz feedback, I have what it takes to become an entrepreneur. Many
successful entrepreneurs started their businesses at an early age by selling items to their
classmates. Entrepreneurs do not start their businesses while they have grown up. Secondly,
running a business requires a lot of time especially in a case where the business is required to
grow. Therefore, an entrepreneur should have time to spend on the business.
Thirdly, many successful entrepreneurs are not in the business for money. They focus on
higher goals such as the love for the business they perform and making a positive contribution to
the world. It is also important to be good with the money that one receives every day. A good
and successful employer should be able to account for every amount they receive. It is important
to keep a close eye on the cash flow. Based on the quiz, I have the ability to manage my finances
and this can make me to become a good entrepreneur.
Businesses are faced with severe and unforeseen challenges all the time. A successful
entrepreneur should be able to deal with the challenges and overcome them. A successful
entrepreneur should be good at making decisions. A single decision can affect the business in a
big way. It is important to have the right decision making skills. Based on the quiz, I have the
right decision making skills and can therefore be a successful entrepreneur.
Basic skills
In case the quiz feedback showed that I was not good enough to start a business, I would
be willing to delay my plans and acquire the skills first. This is because I understand the
importance of having the right skills for the business and the risk of starting a business without
the right skills. Without the right skills, it can be difficult to obtain the expected results and

become a successful entrepreneur. It can also be difficult to
make profits. Instead of risking
failing in business and making losses, it is better to delay the
plans and acquire the basic skills
first.
In spite of what the quiz reveals, I have the basic skills needed
to own and manage a
successful business. One of the basic skills needed to manage a
business is financial skills. The
ability to manage finances is very important and business
people are required to forecast their
sales and cash flow. I have the right financial management
skills to run and manage the business.
5. Therefore, no matter the results of the quiz, I have the ability to
run and manage the business.
I also have problem solving and decision making skills. In spite
of the plans that people
make concerning their businesses, problems will always arise.
This requires someone to be able
to make decisions while under pressure. I am able to make
decisions and solve issues well. This
can enable me to run and manage a business.
Gabriel Jordan’s presentation
From the presentation, Gabriel Jordan started her dream of
becoming an entrepreneur at the age
of 7 (TEDx Talks Williams, 2013). This is similar to my view
on entrepreneurship in that many
entrepreneurs begin their journey on entrepreneurship at an
early age.
Gabriel Jordan states that entreprene urship requires overcoming
fear and being confident.
While confidence and being bold are very important, I think that
having the right management
skills is far more important. She also states that failing is an
opportunity to learn. I agree with her
perspective because I also take every failure as an opportunity
6. to learn.

Written Assignment WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT 2
Type of entrepreneur
Vic Ahmed is an innovator. Innovators measure their success
based on the effect of the
activities they undertake ad the mission of the business (Gitman
etal, 2018). These types of
entrepreneurs have unique ideas to make things better and to do
things differently.
One of the characteristics that make Vic Ahmed a successful
entrepreneur is ambition. Vic
is an ambitious man because he decided to create a company
and run it no matter the risks
involved. Another characteristic that makes Vic a successful
9. entrepreneur is innovation. He is an
innovative person because he came up with an innovative idea
which has led to the business. The
third characteristic that makes Vic Ahmed a successful
entrepreneur is collaboration. In order for
an entrepreneur to be successful, they must be able to work with
other people and companies. Vic
Ahmed has the technical knowledge needed to run and manage
the business and this is another
reason why he is a successful entrepreneur.
Another characteristic that make Vic Ahmed successful is good
management skills. Vic
Ahmed has been able to manage the new venture well. This has
led to great success.
Business goals
The main goal of the business is to ensure the growth of start-
ups. Ahmed is focused on
providing space and other resources for start-ups. The
partnership and shared vision of Rise of
the Rest is focused on the achievement of this goal. The
partnership will help the two
entrepreneurs to reach more start-ups. Rise of the Rest has
invested in local start-ups in 33 cities
10. in the country. This partnership will also help in bringing
together more resources to help them
expand their vision and reach their goals.

Written Assignment WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT 3
Focusing on smaller cities
Focusing on smaller cities is a better strategy because smaller
cities tend to allow people
to develop and penetrate business and social networks faster.
Therefore, there are very many
star-up companies in smaller cities as compared to bigger cities
(Hatten, 2016). The company
can be able to find many start-up companies and businesses in
smaller cities.
Focusing on smaller cities is a good strategy because smaller
cities are more affordable.
The cost of office space and the cost of living in smaller cities
is better compared to large cities.
This will make it easier for the company to purchase a space to
provide to start-ups. In a smaller
11. city, the company can be able to afford a bigger and nicer space
(Hatten, 2016). The low cost of
space an enable the company to do more with less.
Another reason is that smaller cities make innovators more
visible. In a small city, the
company would be more visible as compared to the Silicon
Valley area. This can enable the
company to attract many start-up companies and hence reach the
goal.
Similar Business
A business incubator similar to Vic Ahmed’s vision can be a
good start-up in my
community. The reason is that the community is in a small city.
In the community, there are very
many start-up companies. Additionally, there are very many
people looking for a place to start
their business. The company can have access to many
businesses. The company can also be able
to have a big space to rent out to start-ups. This can enable the
company to make profits. The
spaces in the city are affordable and very big. Therefore, a
similar business incubator can
succeed in the community.

EXPECTATIONS:
BA 130 OL – Introduction to Business (3cr. hrs.)
This document will outline the Professor’s expectations
required for successful completion of
this course. While you will receive a slightly different
experience in each of your classes at
Voorhees College, based on my style of teaching, there are
some general guidelines I would like
to go over with you so that you will have a consistent
experience throughout this course.
Forum Topic Activities
• Etiquette (Netiquette) – I am committed to providing open,
frank, yet civil dialogue in the
forum topic discussions. To achieve this, students should abide
by the following
14. guidelines:
• Never post, transmit or distribute content that is known to be
illegal
• Avoid harassing, threatening or embarrassing fellow learners
• Avoid language that is: harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically
offensive, vulgar,
or sexually explicit.
• If you provide information/facts in your post that are from
another source, I
encourage you to cite a source. While not necessary, this
practice would make it
easier for those reading your post to locate the source for
personal reference.
PLEASE NOTE: APA format does not have to be used for citing
sources in a
discussion post. Points will not be deducted if the citation is
not in APA format.
• The original discussion post for each specific topic should be
a minimum of 250 words
unless a more significant number of words is specified in the
actual forum discussion
instruction. If it is apparent there is no substantive evidence or
content that contributes
15. to the discussion, regardless of word count, reduced points will
be awarded. Original
discussions posted after midnight Thursday evening will receive
reduced credit.
• Responses post to discussions after midnight Sunday evening
will receive zero credit.
If the number of responses is not specified, a minimum of two,
posted are required.
Further, a response post to a fellow student or the instructor
should be a minimum of
150 words unless more words are specified in the forum
discussion instructions.
• If a student neglects to respond to a professor’s follow -up
posted question(s) or query
for additional information to a student’s forum discussion post,
there will be a reduction
of points in the participation category.
• For maximum credit on participation level for a forum
discussion, the original post and
at least the prescribed number or more response posts must be
posted during the week.
Written Assignments and Case Studies
• All written assignments are to be typed, double-spaced, 12 pt.
Times New Roman font,
in APA style. APA style means there must be a cover page on
16. the assignment. In
addition, the cover page must have the following features:
o A running head title (in the upper left-hand corner). Please
see the example
below:
CASE STUDY 1
o A title for the assignment that is not more than 12 words.
o Student’s name
EXPECTATION (cont.):
BA 130 OL – Introduction to Business (3cr. hrs.)
o Course Title & number (i.e. BA 130 OL – Introduction to
Business)
o Institutional affiliation (i.e., Department of Business &
Entrepreneurship)
o Assignment Date
o Professor’s name (i.e., Wilton R. Stewart, PhD)
Please note – the running head title should appear on all
subsequent pages following the
cover page in a submitted written assignment.
• Academic honesty is highly valued. Always submit work that
represents your original
17. words or ideas. If any words or concepts used in a class posting
or assignment submission
do not represent your original words or ideas, you must cite all
relevant sources in APA
format and make clear the extent to which such sources were
used.
• Most plagiarism issues are unintended. For example, a student
forgets to put quotation
marks around a direct quote or paraphrases research without
adding a reference citation.
The consequences of plagiarism, however, do not decipher
unintended from deliberate
practice. Please have a working knowledge of how to reference
others in your written
work, including knowing the differences between quoting,
paraphrasing, and
synthesizing.
• The APA Manual1 will be used by the professor to cite all
format discrepancies that are
noted in a graded assignment. Twenty percent of your overall
grade on a written
assignment will be based on APA format and reference list.
• One must provide a textual citation using the APA author-date
system format and also
provide a reference listing at the end of a written assignment if
you use the ideas or
18. directly quote other authors. That also includes the definition
of words.
• Using just the web address to cite a source does not provide a
reader all the information
needed. Nevertheless, it is also not proper APA format. APA
format is how you
communicate in writing to cohorts that are human service
professionals.
