3. Problem Statement
As a result of continuous power failure and fluctuation in power
supply, sensitive appliances and system are affected by interruption
power supply and the blackout also affect human generally in that it
takes away our happiness. Then, this project is to provide a back-up
and reliable power supply from a renewable energy source (solar
panel) to power some selected home appliances such as computers,
television set, lighting systems.

• The main objective of this project is to design and construct a solar
power generating device that can collect an input dc voltage from the
PV cell and convert it to 220V ac output which can be use to power ac
appliances.
• The main function of solar inverter is to convert battery's Direct
Current (DC) into pure sine wave Alternative Current (AC) to feed
home compliances.
