The Walt Disney
Company started in
1923 in rear of a small
office by Walt Disney
and his brother Roy.
Within 4 months, the
staff moved to larger
facilities where the
signboard read
“Disney Bros. Studios”.
Walt Disney started in 1923 with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. To
recover the loss of Oswald he came up with Mickey Mouse in 1928
and soon many other characters came up.
Disney kept gaining
success popularity
with the smashing
success of first full
length animated
film, Snow White
and the Seven
Dwarfs. This led to
more animated
classics, live action
films and television
series throughout
next 3 decades.
Disney opened the
world’s first theme
park “Disneyland” in
1955 which was
considered the
happiest place in the
world then.
Walt Disney died in
the year 1966.
1971 saw the
opening of the
24000-acre
Walt Disney
World Theme
Park in Florida.
The CEO then
was Roy
Disney. He
died later in
December that
year.
