Aug’13 Reliance Industries Ltd., Bangalore Zonal Executive – Accounts & Commercial
Reliance Industries Limited (Fortune 500 Company) in the retail division (Trends) as a Zonal Executive (Deputy
Manager) – Accounts & Commercial Operations since 19th August 2013. Handling 59 stores across different locations
in West Region (Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat & Chhattisgarh)
Current Role:
 MIS:
- Preparing profitability statements, project reports & MIS reports to monitor movement of key business
indicators and facilitate decision-making process of the top management.
- Updating various MIS reports for senior management reference & supporting internal department for
continuous cost control & major variance analysis.
- Identifying non performing stores and taking necessary steps for cost reduction which also involves
negotiation with the land lords for reduction of rate and/or area.
 Audit:
- Consolidation of auditor’s report for all India Trends stores (Currently 270 Stores), reviewing the negative
points and taking necessary corrective actions.
- Evaluating internal control systems to highlight shortcomings & implementing necessary recommendations.
 License:
- Looking all necessary licenses required for opening of new stores and follow up for renewal of licenses for
existing Stores.
 Vendor Management:
- Releasing Purchase order and work orders which involved verification of MRP and ensuring Tax compliant.
- Liaisoning with stores for rental payment to vendors and ensuring invoices are tax compliant. Ensuring all
payments related to utility are paid within due date.
 Store Operations:
- Ensuring GRN (Goods Receipt in SAP) is done within 24 hours of receipt of goods by the store.
- Ensuring Stock take and Fixed Assets verification are done at proper intervals to control shrinkage.
- Planning process improvement and implementing the process for smooth running of stores.
- Ensuring the daily operations of stores are completed within the time frame, right from the pre store
opening operations till the closure and completion of EOD (End of Day) operations.

Aug, 2013. I handled 10 stores & a team of 4 people across different locations in Delhi / J & K. I
was working on proficient in managing preparation & maintenance of statutory books of accounts, balance sheet and

Role:
 Finance & Accounts:
