4. Society………..
• Man cannot live without a society . He
cannot live alone. He must live with his
fellow human beings. But living in a society
means co-operation with other members of
that society.
5. Rights and Responsibilities………
• A good citizen needs to imbibe many
qualities. That he has some duties and
responsibilities to bear so that he may enjoy
some rights because one person’s
responsibilities are another person’s rights.
6. Continuous……….
• Being the residents of the “land of pure
people”, as the name “Pakistan” means, we
must fulfill our responsibilities so we may
privileges as a citizen of a free state.
7. Types………
• Legal: Some responsibilities are upheld by
law. It is against the law not to take
responsibility in some cases.
• Moral: Sometimes we feel responsible for
people or things because we believe it is the
right thing to do. We feel that we are morally
responsible because to ignore it would be
wrong.
8. Continue………
• Social: These are responsibilities that
society has towards everyone. They are not
the responsibilities of individuals but ones
we share as a society.
• Personal :We often believe that we are
personally responsible for things, not
because it is the law but because it is very
personal to us or our friends and family.
9. Irresponsibility
• But we are not performing our duties and
proving that we are not illegible to live in a
respectable society. We want to enjoy all our
rights but are not ready to fulfill our
responsibilities.
10.

rights are other person’s responsibilities.
• There is an endless list about irresponsibility
of our people but we will discuss very few of
them.

• Throwing garbage from windows, spitting on
roads / buildings, telling lies to each other,
placing blame on each other, etc has become
a part of everyday life for us now.
13. Continue…………

prayers, fear of losing slippers while in
Masjid, and using religion as a shield to hide
behind it, is a sad reality of our society.
14. Violation of law
• In Pakistan, unfortunately majority of the
people have no respect for the law. They
don’t consider breaking a law to be a big
deal. This attitude has now come to the verge
that the presence of law enforcement
agencies in Pakistan has become more or less
irrelevant.
15. Violation of traffic rules
• We don’t follow traffic rules as well like
Irresponsible driving, crossing roads blindly
despite of footpath and uneven parking
practices demonstrate the mentality of our
distressed society.
• We should remember that traffic rules are
not for Police to check but for our own safety.
• Mostly driver have no idea about the Traffic
signals.

• One of the main cause of so many diseases in
the country is the bad environment and it all
starts from garbage and litter.
• Throwing garbage and wrappers on roads is
not a big deal for us.
• We always read a sentence in our text books
from our childhood that “ Pakistan is our
homeland. Keep it clean” but we really act
upon it never.
18. So, here we have a great example of
‘Environmental Pollution’
19. Respect to elders
• Our Holy Prophet (SAW) said:
“He isn’t one of us who isn’t kind to our
youngsters, and shows no respect to our
elders”.
• But in our society we have forgetten to
respect our elders. As in buses we don’t offer
a seat to someone old, or help them to carry
a heavy load.
20. Continue………
• It’s really sad to see that if any student is
scolded by a teacher; parents in turn dishonor
the teacher which encourages the child to
repeat that act. Character building starts
within our homes & it should be parents’
supreme responsibility to teach their children
how to respect elders.
21. Demoralizing……….
• Leg pulling and demoralizing has become the
culture of our society. In spite of, motivation
and encourage each other, we try to
demoralize him because we cannot see
anybody to achieve higher position in society.
22. Tax surveys…….
• According to the sources only 0.6 percent of
the 20 million population pays income tax
and files a return tax in Pakistan.
• While 4.7 per cent in India, 58 per cent in
France and 80 per cent in Canada which is a
shameful reality for us.

• Let an honest person takes job in government
sector .
• And he tries to fulfill his responsibilities .
• But after some days his corrupted boss force
him to do illegal work.
• Now he has two ways either become part of
that corrupted system or lost his job in both
cases corruption is dominated.
31. Continue………
• It is difficult to end the corruption.
• Because corruption is not in one department,
• it is not in one city .
• It is part of our society.
• It is not easy to remove from our society
because it is rooted in our society.
• We take stand against others but not our
relation and friends.
