- Pragmacticly and modestly : It’s a humble approach we’re taking. No Greenwashing it can be a win-win : As a CFO, I personaly think that such strategy can be beneficial to our consumers, and thus to our business and our financial performance. (comment je le démontre?) L’impact c’est nos 10 millions d’utilisateurs annuels. Notre outil industriel, c’est les apps & sites.
- Our move to a more sustainable activity started in 2016, with some small initiatives. We started with the easiest and visible actions, with a concrete impact, SUCH AS : Sorting Waste, being more environmentally friendly when it comes to LUNCHES, no more plastic cups for drinks & coffees... Energy savings in our offices, from our Equipments Setting-up a community of people, with some time to structure and move forward But this only concern 10% of our carbon footprint as a company !
- In 2018/2019 : we structured our actions, we we created a dedicated team with experts from different departments to manage our actions we mobilize everyone more, we encouraged people to act here and there (from Mobilize to IMPACT) We evaluate where the priorities are Priorities are definitely around the EndUserDevices carbon footprint. This is where we have the biggest footprint, so this is also where we can have the Biggest IMPACT
- Performance committee : -10% = Les Accords de Paris. ISO14001 : allows to track all processes, identify all key stakeholders, and follow our actions.
- Performance : All tech leads gather With PRODUCT MONTLHY to discuss about performance improvments (It enables to have a Transversal vision & animation of end User application performance)
- Several Fields where to REDUCE: Eco-conception Performance DataCenters: (exemple: Migration to Kubernetes) Earlier this year, we took part to the APIDAYS Sustainable Challenge, we set-up a team, we brainstormed, and attended to workshops, in order to come out with concrete measures. Performance Workshops: mentionned before 3rd Party Audit : With the help of an external company, we evaluated the carbon footprint of our front-end applications; we identified levers to reduce it, we assessed the opportunity to integrate eco-design in our project, we drove awareness inside our Tech Teams Ecodesign is an approach to designing products and services with special consideration for the environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle
- Thanks to our “Green Tool”, we’ll: we will measure from end to end and monitor we will be more conscious of what we do and our impact. with a combination of technologies already available internally We now have a nice Roadmap, We elaborate concrete Actions,
- We were pioneers in our Group, We promoted our initiatives to our Shareholders, they created a dedicated Department in order to take action worldwide. We also started to offset our current carbon emissions : For instance, we financed the replanting of a forest.
