Discover the 3 steps we went through on our journey
A few key learnings :
● The IT / digital industry is immature in terms of environmental impact
assessment
● Newly released research help define multi-criteria impact factors
● It is possible to perform a multi-criteria assessment of the build phase of a server,
based on a bottom-up approach
● Multi-criteria assessments are important to avoid pollution transfers, or to study
ADP (the most specific indicator to the digital industry)
Based on this study, in the future, we hope to :
● To be able to evaluate the impact of a manufacturer's servers, or to challenge its
Product Carbon Footrpints
● Extend the scope of the study to the network / storage systems and data centers
● Use this data to provide multi-criteria assessments of Cloud Instances 12
