2. ó Guide the P&C, whether the Excise duty or VAT would be available as a set off or a cost to the
project, based on the end usage of the item procured, after a thorough analysis & discussion with
the project team. (Due to the nature of bulk items).
ó Enquire about the variations in rates for identical items procured recently, and report it to the head
so the financial aspects of the project is thoroughly transparent.
ó Ensure all the terms and conditions of the order are well in place as agreed between the company
and the vendor- terms of payment, transportation, taxes, insurance, and other legal clauses and
enquire if any variations before commercially clearing it.
