INTRODUCTION
The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly brought about
unprecedented challenges for students across the Nation.
Many students, including those studying within San Jose
City Senior High School, have experienced many hardships
due to the pandemic, such as financial problems, depression,
inability to learn on their own, time management issues, and
more.
INTRODUCTION
Despite the many challenges and hardships that students
faced during the pandemic many students still persevered
through it all, finishing all the activities, assignments and
performance tasks in a short period of time whilst also
dealing with their own problems and in these many students
lose their motivation or interest in studying
WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR OUR
RESEARCH/TOPIC TO BE STUDIED?
• As to why we have chosen this topic/title is because of the fact
that we ourselves are slowly losing the motivation on
studying. We have observed that some of our classmates are
losing interest on studying or learning something new and
because of this, they sleep through most of the lessons and
sometimes don't even attend classes anymore because they
feel lazy or that they have something "More important" than
studying and tend to prioritize it more.
WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR OUR
RESEARCH/TOPIC TO BE STUDIED?
• It is important to acknowledge that every student have
their own circumstances and their experience from one
another is unique, and there is not only one solution to
address the lack of motivation amongst students.
WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR OUR
RESEARCH/TOPIC TO BE STUDIED?
• Therefore, it is essential to undertake further research to
understand the challenges faced by students within San
Jose City Senior High School and develop effective
strategies to support them in their studies. By doing so,
we can ensure that all students have access to a
supportive learning environment and are equipped with
the motivation they need to succeed in their education.
WHERE WILL THE RESEARCH BE
CONDUCTED?
• If approved. Will be conducted within the students studying
within San Jose City National High school and will target
Senior High school Students to gather a more detailed data
as to why students tend to lose their motivation in studying.
WHERE WILL THE RESEARCH BE
CONDUCTED?
• For gathering data, we will use online survey for more
accessibility like google docs and to avoid leaking of
information to maintain the confidentiality of the
respondents for our research.
WHAT IS THE OVERALL BENEFITS THAT
MAY BE DERIVED FROM OUR STUDY?
By conducting this research,
• Teachers and we students as a whole can determine what is
the causing the lack of motivations among students.
• Provide a solution to help these students get their interest
back in studying and learning something new.
• Students can greatly increase their academic performances in
school.
• Helps students deal with their Mental Health problems and
WHAT IS THE OVERALL BENEFITS THAT
MAY BE DERIVED FROM OUR STUDY?
• In conclusion, solving the lack of motivation amongst
students studying within San Jose City Senior High School
can have significant positive impacts on the academic, social,
and emotional well-being of students.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
1. What are the main causes for the lack of motivation of the
Students?
2. What are the contributing factors for the problems?
3. What can we as a students do to combat/avoid this
situation?
4. How can these factors be addressed to improve student
engagement and academic performance?
