1. Lavoisier's research has included some of the earliest chemical
experiments derived from stoichiometry.
2. One of Lavoisier's experiments has examined the nature of
combustion.
3. He has also revealed the role of oxygen in the respiration of
animals and plants.
4. To study the dynamics of respiration, he enclosed animals in
airtight containers to measure the rate of oxygen consumption
and CO2 creation.
