Are immune system is the collection of cells , molecules ,tissues and
organs
Cells of the immune system are known as leucocytes
Leucocytes:
In Greeks, “leokos” means white and “ kytos” means cells
are known as white blood cells (WBC)

3. • Leucocytes arise from bone marrow.
• In the bone marrow most of these cell develop as well as mature.
• Leucocytes found in blood and lymph.
• Leucocytes are also known as Immune cells

Granulocytes are of three
types namely
i) Basophils
ii) Eosinophils
iii) Neutrophils
