In this lab, we will practice programming Particle Photon to send ("publish") an event (along with sensor's reading) to Particle Cloud, which can be received by other devices, as well as receive ("subscribe") events from Particle Cloud. User can view the events on Particle Console. If an event is received by the Photon, a Piezo buzzer connected with Photon will beep for a short duration. Devices and Parts Needed: Particle Photon board with headers or Sparkfun Photon RedBoard Micro USB cable Breadboard (not needed for Sparkfun Photon RedBoard) Laptop WiFi Potentiometer Push button switch Buzzer Optional: LEDs Software Needed: Serial terminal (optional) Other Required: An account with Particle.

In this lab, we will practice programming Particle Photon to send ("publish") an event (along with sensor's reading) to Particle Cloud, which can be received by other devices, as well as receive ("subscribe") events from Particle Cloud. User can view the events on Particle Console. If an event is received by the Photon, a Piezo buzzer connected with Photon will beep for a short duration. Devices and Parts Needed: Particle Photon board with headers or Sparkfun Photon RedBoard Micro USB cable Breadboard (not needed for Sparkfun Photon RedBoard) Laptop WiFi Potentiometer Push button switch Buzzer Optional: LEDs Software Needed: Serial terminal (optional) Other Required: An account with Particle
