Here is a treatment that i created for a pitch. I didnt win the pitch but i havent given up. Good thing is i ended up with a great treatment (at least the way it looks). I do not own any of the images and if you do and would like me to remove this document from the net please give me a shout and I'll remove it instantly.

INITIAL THOUGHTS
SHOT ON A HUE WEI P9 - MUHAMMAD IMAM HASSAN.
Like most photographers I have been waiting for this magical moment. A DSLR to fit into my
pocket and this is the selling point we should be highlighting through out this videos.
These days I seem to be using less of my bulky cameras and getting closer to my subject with
mobile phone cameras. The only thing that stops me from using my mobile phone camera to
shoot everything is the lack of manual controls. As the P10 features manual controls on it
already great picture quality, This mobile phone camera seems to be the answer.

GENERAL APPROACH
SHOT ON A HUE WEI P9 - MUHAMMAD IMAM HASSAN.
My approach to these viral videos is to make a video that will convince me to switch from my
traditional DSLR to the Hua Wei P10. How I would do this is to make the video feel professional
and authoritative like a NGO video (Video #01 - the photographer) and add a sense of adventure
(Video #02-Bill). What I’m looking for is a hybrid documentary that is entertaining and
authoritative. To really impress the viewers of the capabilities of the new P10 we should USE IT
to shoot the full documentary.
We should use the new P10 to shoot the full viral video

SHOOTING ON THE P10
Everything that appears in the viral video should be shot on the P10. Besides the hardware we
would also use apps to create great imagining. Were possible in the viral video we will use things
like time-lapse, hyper lapse, tilt-shift and other “photography” techniques to illustrate the
capabilities of the P10. There are also a whole bunch of Vintage camera apps that we could use.

TELLING THE STORY
Storytelling is an art of its own, whether we write, use stills, shoot video, we must make
captivating stories. Once we finalise the photographers and I know their style and subject matter,
we will have to design their video differently. Each video should capture the essence of the
photographer and his subject matter. Although we are creating different videos for different
photographers, all videos will have similarities to ensure that they are all under the same
campaign. One good example of using a video technique to illustrate a photography style is Video
#03- Dance. Here you will see how high-speed video technique is used to show dance
photography.
6. With 40,000,000.00 photos uploaded a day on Instragram and a paralysing 300,000,000.00 photos
uploaded on Facebook. We should use tie the P10 to these media streams and as such in our
videos we should use icons of these popular sites. Using these icons as they do it Video #04_Insta
(attached) will give our viral videos a “now/hip” feeling.

8. It’s been a while since I had a script that keeps me up at night thinking of all its possibilities. I’m
excited about the prospects of doing a great piece of work combining photographic artistry and
many film making methods producing a video that is both entertaining and captivating. As
inspiration I leave you with is Video #05 – Watchtower of Turkey. This video is a bench-mark of the
kind of of production value I would like to achieve for our viral- videos.
Thank you for the opportunity to pitch of this script and there are my initial thought and please use
them as a starting point for discussion rather then a final treatment of these videos.
