Problem solving is the way of solving problem in
effective manner. It is very obvious that problem
can only be solved when we know the problem
from each and every angle. So, we must
observe the problem by treating each
component of the problem separately. There is
no single approach to solve a problem so we
must plan many solution to a problem and select
the best one from all the solutions.
PROBLEM:
Placement rate on our
campus has sharply
reduced over past 3 years
PROBLEM:
Industry satisfaction of
recruits from your campus has
been low for the past 3 years.
 COLLEGE EDUCATION : May be the education in the college is not
effective for the satisfaction of
companies.
 STUDENT QUALIFICATION: May be the qualification of student is not
to that extent like in high schools, secondary
school or in semester exams.
 COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Many of the students are not skilled in
each and every field like communication
skill. communication is a major factor
which a person must know to deliver his/her views from one
person to another and many have not
them.
 LOCATION: The reason for poor placement can also be there
when the location of college is very abrupt.
Might be the college is situated very far from the city
and the people from the company find difficulty in finding the
location, and also due to this reason they will
not come next time.
 HOSPITALITY: May be the college did not welcome the company
with an enthusiastic spirit and by seeing the
college’s hospitality the company would not like to
visit the college again.
 WORKING: May be the working of recruit students in their
company is not good as they said and behave at the
time of campus placement. So, company
would not like to recruit from that college.
 NON JOINING OF STUDENTS: May be the students did not join the
company due to low salary provided by
the company and the student’s need is
not fulfilled.
MISSION:
Increase placement rate to 120%
STEPS:
College’s education must be according to the
companies requirement and its syllabus must be
flexible which can be changed time to time.
The admission of students must be done fairly
and no student should come from donation.
College must give the students a personality
development classes also.
Also they must focus on language of each and
every student.
College also gives a little knowledge about
technicality of each and every branch whether the
student belong to technical field or not.
Student whose percentage of 10th and 12th is not
good they should not be admitted in the college. The
criteria must be above 60% at least.
The qualification of teacher must be properly
checked before appointing him or her.
Whatever the company coming to recruit the college
must be treated nicely and should be a proper
response from the student as well as college.
MISSION:
Improve industry satisfaction to 90%
STEPS:
Give chance to hard working student to sit in the campus
placement by testing the ability of student to do work.
Mention about salary earlier before the campus placement so
that no student can leave the company due to low salary.
Trained student according to the market demands.
Analysis of two major problems.
Get to know about how the placement rate can be increas
Learn how to solve a problem what steps should be taken
