Il Neoralisimo rosa is a genre of film that
occurred between Neorealism and Italian
Comedy. This genre of film was characterised by
showing the real living conditions of the Italian
people in the fifties but in a comedic way.

Italian Comedy began in the late fifties and
progressed through to the sixties in which Italy was
experiencing an economic boom. Many Italians
moved to the north of Italy to work in the rapidly
developing industrial sector.
It came to an end in the mid-seventies.
