2. The first scene of the
title sequence shows
a ring with an
octopus like shape in
the middle, this
instantly gives the
viewer or audience
an impression as to
what the movie is
about, the way the
camera moves into
this octopus shape as
well suggests that
this is an important
feature of the film.
Opening Scene

3. From the ring scene,
it then goes into this
scene showing the
use of females. This
gives off a classic
stereotype about
women in films,
with the main hero
in the center of the
screen surrounded
by nude women
shows how females
are used in the film,
giving off the
stereotype that all
woman are
seductive and lust
for the hero.

4. This scene shows the
main character of the
film, or the ‘hero’. Due to
how early he is shown
on screen and the
amount of time he is
shown throughout the
sequence it suggests
that he is the good guy
and also that he never
gives off a negative
impression during the
sequence.

5. The next scene shows a
nude woman wrapped
in tentacles moving
seductively, due to the
duration on screen this
could be representing
the main female
character in the film.
However, the tentacles
could represent
something holding her
down and suppressing
her; this idea combined
with the octopus logo
could represent a
hostage-like situation
of some sort.

6. This scene shows various
characters appearing and
disappearing in shards of
broken glass, this could be
representing any
characters from previous
films ‘breaking’ in this film
or previous characters
who could be
reappearing.

7. This scene shows a giant
octopus standing in the
same position as the
logo on the ring, with
two people standing
underneath it. This could
represent this octopus
cult to be a higher
power to whoever is
underneath it.

8. The camera then
moves up the body
of the octopus in the
previous scene and
reveals the man
with a skull face.
This represents the
enemy in the movie
and shows that he is
in charge of this
octopus cult.

9. This screenshot
from the
sequence shows
a fiery mess, this
represents the
action and
violence of the
movie

10. This shows an image of
the main bad guy, With
the octopus tentacles
behind is back,
representing that he is
the head of this cult or
gathering.
