2. The hero is not really shown but the girls that are shown in the opening can be classed as the heroines/heroes due to them being the victims. Also according to binary opposition of the theory of Clause Levi Strauss, the heroes/victims (girls) are shown due to the bright light used on them and the use of the white colour of their costumes. Similarly, the villain is not shown either but the TV is shown to be the cause of destruction in the beginning of the film.
3. Where is the story set? What does this show you about the genre of the film?
4. The story is set in a town but we are not told where, however at the start of the film we are introduced to a house which looks haunted and this shows a lot about the genre of the film, as we know that it will be a thriller due to the isolation of where the house is. This is also shown through what happens in the house itself, the girls (heroes/victims) get attacked by something, which we do not know of and all this contributes to the idea of a thriller.

6. At the first 10 minutes of the film we are left with a cliff hanger, where the girl’s friend is killed and goes into the TV somehow, and then a whole range of new characters are introduced. At that time of where the girl is killed, the audiences are left with many questions such as what happened to the girl, who killed her and what is going to happen next? <br />
