Falguni Nayar was born on 19 February 1963 in Mumbai.
She is a graduate in B.Com from Sydenham College of
Commerce and Economics and a postgraduate from Indian
Institute of Management (IIM),Ahmedabad.
In 1993, Nayar joined the Kotak Mahindra Group and
initially she was the head of the Mergers and Acquisitions
(M&A) Team.
In 2005 , She was appointed as Investment Banking unit
and director of Kotak Securities.
She is one of the Self-Made Female Indian Billionaires.

the Sanskrit word nayaka, meaning ‘one in the
