1. TEXT
Some music videos have text at the beginning and end of a music
video when it is narrative based. It introduces the artist and maybe the
story behind the music video. All in which are in capitals so that it
stands out and the audience can read it clearly. As my music video is
not narrative based I will only have the name of the song and artist
on the bottom left of the screen, as this is usually used in a music
video, so the audience know who and what they are watching.
2. IMAGE
The clothes that the artist is going to wear with be casual clothing, nothing
outstanding as this is not a song where you have to wear bright colours, with a lot
of make-up and big jewelry. This song is slow and has a lot of meaning, by having
the artist wearing dark clothing, it takes the audiences attention away from what the
artist is wearing to what she is singing about, including what is being shown to
them. The age of the artist is older, I felt a teenager singing this song would not be
realistic as an adult would have more of an insight and experience about being in a
relationship that has not gone well.
3. EVENTS IN THE VIDEO
The only event that I will include in my music video will be the
filming as to which I had done with the artist and her on screen lover
at dinner. This helps the story of my music video to be told.
4. CHARACTERS
There is only one character that is being used in this music video.
This male character is in the music video to help the story in the song
to be told. I felt that having this would help the audience to
understand it a bit more and to see and feel what the artist was.
5. LIGHTING
I am deciding to have dim lighting in the music video, as this song
is not a happy bubbly song. I wanted there to be a connection and for
it to be formed though every part of this music video.
6. COLOUR
The colours in this music video will be both black and white and
colour. The reason why I have chosen to used black and white in
parts of this music video is because with the dinner scene I want to
show it has a past memory, so it shows the audience that the artist is
thinking about it. This is the memory that the artist is singing about.
