2. During the time of 1940 – 50s Abraham
Maslow had developed the Hierarchy of
Needs in USA, this is a physiological theory
which an individual is focused and
motivated by. There are 5 stages of growth,
each individual desires to move up in the
hierarchy, this is without the individual
realising this. The hierarchy is then split up
into 3 types of needs;
• Basic needs which includes shelter,
water, safety etc…
• Psychological needs which includes
having friends and the feeling of success
• Self-fulfillment needs which includes
one’s acceptance and mortality.
This theory is still applied and valid today to
understand the human’s focus and
motivation.
