9. Planning, Preparation and
Assessment (PPA)
• All teachers get 10% of their working time to plan,
prepare and assess. This is called Planning
Preparation and Assessment time. (PPA)
• PPA time in Year One is on a Wednesday morning
• The PPA Teacher is Mrs Birtles
• 3 exciting activities: Forest School, music
composition and mental maths for Autumn term.

• Talk and Discuss! Look at the ‘Ask Me

March and July (Celebration Afternoon)
• Open Communication: Dialogue. Please talk to us
about concerns before they become worries! After school is
usually best. We are happy to talk on the phone at
lunchtime. Please share successes and experiences with us.
As your child’s primary role model and educator, you will help
