2. I used the colours red, black, grey and white, and black, these colours all relate to R&B and Hip-Hop and the
colours often use in R&B and Hip-Hop magazines. There is a range of dark and bright colours and because
they are bold they stand out attracting my audience. I Also attracted my audience by blending my mast head
with an image making my magazine appear stylish and unique. Through out my magazine I consistently use
a fading tool , to make certain areas of my magazine appear as if they are fading away this attracts my
audience because my magazine looks creative.
I made sure that the pictures of my model are not dominated by text and instead placed the text around the
images or away from the image. This makes the image stand out to my audience therefore attracting them.
3. I used colloquial language for my magazine and when reading
my double spread page you can notice this also I used informal
language I did this because my target audience are young
people and I want them to be able to relate with my magazine.
I used a mixture of fonts but a font which I used a lot was
Impact. I used this font because I love the boldness of it and
how easy it was to notice therefore easy for my target audience
to notice.
My cover lines all relate to the R&B and Hip-Hop genre
attracting my audience. I talked about different artist and also
gave short hints about celebrity gossip generating interest from
my target audience.
4. The appearance of my model is a key part in attracting my audience. I choose a young female my target
audience can relate to my model because they are also young.
The lighting on my models face makes her face glow giving her a softer look, but her face has a ‘hard’
expression and she appears ‘sultry’ this shows the softness of R& and the more tougher side of Hip-Hop.
The pose my model did for the front cover majority of the page and she stares directly at the camera this can
attract the target audience because it makes them feel as if she is looking at them.
