  • What is a Blog? The Technical Definition
  • What is a Blog? A web application which contains periodic time-stamped posts on a common webpage. These posts are often but not necessarily in reverse chronological order. Such a website would typically be accessible to any Internet user.
  • What is a Blog? The Social Definition
  • What is a Blog? A blog is a personal diary, a daily pulpit, a collaborative space, a political soapbox, a breaking-news outlet, a collection of links or even your own private thoughts.
  • What is a Blog? “Your blog is whatever you want it to be.” That means the social definition of a blog is still evolving, shaped by the millions of bloggers that create new content for the web.
  • Why do we blog? - it’s an outlet - an exercise - an alternative form of communication/media - engage in social conversation - it levels the playing field - to leverage our influence - for transparency - adds personal touch / human face
