    1. The Carrot Principle: How the Best Managers Use Recognition to Engage Their People, Retain Talent, and Accelerate Performance August 18, 2009
    2. About Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton The Carrot Principle, written by Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton, has been a New York Time s and Wall Street Journal bestseller. The book reveals the results of a breakthrough study – which found that organizations achieve dramatically greater business results (whether measured by return on equity, return on assets, or operating margin) when managers lead with carrots, not sticks. Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton have also co-authored The 24-Carrot Manager and A Carrot a Day . Adrian Gostick leads O.C. Tanner’s corporate recognition training and publishing practice. He earned his master’s degree in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall University, where he often serves as a guest lecturer on organizational culture. Chester Elton has been called the “apostle of appreciation,” by the Globe and Mail , Canada’s largest newspaper. He is considered one of the undisputed “thought leaders” in employee motivation and recognition. And has served as a recognition consultant to Fortune 100 firms such as DHL, KPMG, Wal-Mart and AVIS Budget Group. Currently Chester serves as the Senior Vice President of the Carrot Culture Group with the O.C. Tanner Recognition Company.
