John Birch, President The Birch Group, LLC Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst Certified Professional Values Analyst Certified Attribute Index Analyst In 1997, John founded The Birch Group LLC, a consulting organization specializing in strategic/project planning, organizational effectiveness and training, business success coaching, as well as teambuilding and conflict resolution. The Birch Group’s clients include The State of Connecticut, The City of New Britain, various insurance companies, Aerospace and other manufacturing companies as well as many New England colleges, non-profit organizations and municipalities. The measure of his effectiveness is evident by the number of repeat customers who use John’s expertise for training and addressing a variety of organizational issues. John understands the urgency of developing a highly skilled and motivated workforce to meet the competitive and financial pressures of today’s global economy and changing workforce demographics. His consulting programs, seminars, and coaching are specifically designed to improve productivity and efficiency while tapping the inherent potential of employees. John ensures that his seminar participants are able to immediately use acquired skills and knowledge in the workplace and in the classroom setting. John spent over 25 years in a succession of corporate strategic/expense planning, sales and operational management positions. His management experience includes managing strategic planning, human resources, expense planning/management, operational services, financial reporting and sales. John graduated with honors from Central Connecticut State University. He has received his prestigious Professional Behavioral Analyst, Values, Attributes and TriMetrix Certifications and has done significant post-graduate work in leadership, management and organizational behavior. John has had additional intensive training in management/organizational effectiveness, strategic/project planning, teambuilding, total quality management, group facilitation and business success coaching. The Birch Group, LLC is a member of the Connecticut Better Business Bureau, Connecticut Technology Council, the Bristol Chamber of Commerce and The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches (WABC). John has facilitated numerous presentations to Engineering students at the University of Hartford for the Annual Engineering Day. People from industry pair with graduating seniors for group exercises which provide participants with useful tools and professional contacts. In 2002, John, along with professors Ronald Adrezin, Odell Glenn, Beth Richards and Andrew Angle created the much acclaimed “Engineering Challenge for the 21 st Century Program” that combines engineering skills, leadership, teamwork and technical writing in a hands on team learning environment. This program has helped hundreds of high school and college students excel and has been instrumental in helping them succeed on the job. For seven years now, John has also been heavily involved with the Connecticut Pre-Engineering Program (CPEP) helping underrepresented students prepare for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
