    • Historical Background to take up DBIGonchi management system is very old democratic and strong one.Gonchi is a Local Discipline water Governing Management System with well andstrong Social Regulations by the local Body.Gonchi is good Modal for distribution of water even in modern times.Some Gonchi Channels are breached, covered with silt and have damages atculvert. Due to these the flow of water is very slow to reach the fields and in someparts the water flow was stopped to meet the farmer’s lands.So the Gonchi farmers are not getting sufficient water and number of farmer’s land isreduced.Gonchi has a good decision power management committee by the land owningmembers and every farmer must follow the committee decision.If any one neglects this he is punished.
