Slide 13: SchoolRooms Content • 70+ virtual rooms of content. • Content organized by audience: Elementary, Middle and High School Rooms, as well as Educator, Librarian and Parent Guides. • Approximately 23,000 links to high quality, educational web resources. • More than 5 million web pages being crawled by the Best of Web index. • Also includes videos, audio recordings, digital images, photographs, educational games, etc...

Slide 14: SchoolRooms Implementation • A statewide implementation, much like DISCUS, for SC’s public libraries and schools. • The State Library is serving as the test library. • 10 Pilot Sites will assist with best practices for the implementation. • DISCUS databases and library catalogs will be integrated, in addition to state specific content. • An online registration system is being developed to allow for immediate access to all of our electronic resources. • Official statewide launch scheduled for Fall 2008.
