2. Introduction
Working Capital refers to that part of the
firm’s capital, which is required for financing
short-term or current assets such a cash
marketable securities, debtors and
inventories.
On the other hand, Profitability is the
primary goal of all business ventures.
Without profitability the business will not
survive in the long run.
3. Surya Nepal Private Limited (SNPL) is an
Indo-Nepal-UK joint venture.
Started operations in Nepal in 1986.
Surya Nepal is now the largest private sector
enterprise in Nepal.
4. Dabur Nepal Private Limited was set up as
an independent Group company in 1992.
It has a vision of "Dedicated to the health
and well being of every household"
5. Objective of Study
Major Objective:
– To measure the impact of working capital
management on the profitability
Specific Objectives:
To analyze the relationship between working capital
management and profitability for manufacturing firm.
To determine the relationship between size of firm
and the profitability
6. Data Collection And Methodology
Secondary source of data will use from official site
of Surya Nepal Pvt.Ltd and Dabur Nepal Pvt.Ltd.
Financial data of two companies from 2007 to 2012
will be analyzed.
These two firms are chosen because of:
– Availability of financial data
– Assumption of practices on the working capital
management and profitability.
8. Expected Result
Inverse Relationship with working capital and
Profitability.
Understanding of Working capital management
practices of Nepalese company.
