My group had decided the genre of
'Action' as it has one of the most
interest of film representative in the
UK film council. We chose Action as
it is in the top percentage of
categories and it is also all of my
group’s favourite genre. I think that
this film will do well as Action has
the top 50% of people that like it.
This means that we will secure a
large audience as the genre is
mainstream.
As action films are very mainstream, our
group is going to aim the target audience to
be men and women aged 15-35 because this
will cover the majority of people that like to
watch Action films. This will also give us
large demographic to target with our
audiences. Every social class is included
in both of our genres male and female
which will also secure us in a larger
target audience meaning that Males and
Females age 15-35 years old and every
class will be targeted.
As Action films are one of the most
popular genre viewed, this will make sure
that we will be guaranteed a large
audience to our film. Gender age and class
as at no consequence as all will fit in to our
genre in one way or the other.

On the page where over 16s rate their favourite genre, around 20% of them rate
Action as their favourite genre. This tells us that we have around 20% of the public
audience aimed at as our target audience. This means that we would have a very
high interest in the film as around half of people have Action as their favourite genre,
so the film should be a success
