I take it for a walk every day. I give it a
bath every week. She waits for me to
come back home from school to play
with me. I love my little Princess.
She then encourages her chn to show
the picture of their pet and talk about
it. (Teacher needs to inform the
students in advance to bring a picture
of a pet to introduce the topic)

and asks them to imitate the sounds
of the same.

  • 2. Starter . The pupils will be conscious of the ideas and vocabulary in the unit. . Children speak about their pet or which animal/bird would they love to have as a pet. . identify the given pictures of different animals and birds. Listening Skills . listen to the text Pupils………
  • 3. . speak fluently and confidently about their pet or a pet they would like to have. viz. My pet is a cat. Its name is Tom. He is brown in colour… . identify the given pictures of animals and birds and imitate/ recognize the sounds of the same. . read listen to the text with attention to the correct pronunciation, pauses and punctuation of words. Introduction: Tr puts a few pictures of pet in the box and asks children.(why?) The next day tr. shows the picture of her pet and talks about her pet to the class. Eg. My pet is a dog . Its name is Princess. She is white in colour. She has long , lovely, white hair that cover her eyes. I take it for a walk every day. I give it a bath every week. She waits for me to come back home from school to play with me. I love my little Princess. She then encourages her chn to show the picture of their pet and talk about it. (Teacher needs to inform the students in advance to bring a picture of a pet to introduce the topic) Tr. asks the chn to look at the pictures of animals and birds given on Pg 12 and asks them to imitate the sounds of the same. Model reading of the lesson by the teacher.
