convertible classmate PC ID
• Drop/Shock resistant*:
– Intel-powered convertible classmate PC drop tested to withstand
falls based on a standing child’s average hand to ground distance
(50cm*)
– Intel-powered convertible classmate PC is designed for accidental drop. Not
recommend to toss or throwing.
– We recommend user to be more careful with Intel-powered convertible classmate
PC since exposed touch screen in tablet mode make it more vulnerable.
– Intel-powered convertible classmate PC drop test is done on 6 sides, one drop on
each side. Please refer to backup for detailed testing procedure.
– Additional Shock resistance with SSD storage configuration
• Water resistant Keyboard/Touch pad:
– Keyboard and touch pad withstands inadvertent liquid spills
• Dust resistant:
– Designed to meet IP4 dust resistance test criteria to protect against
dust greater than 1mm diameter.

Intel-powered clamshell CMPC
Drop test
• CMPC is a platform designed for youth with
age 6 – 15 years old.
• Younger student in primary school (age 6-
11) are more likely drop PCs than older
students.
• The average height of the CMPC to the
ground carried by a 11 year old will
normally be less than 50cm*.
• Hawk Peak shall pass concrete dropping
test of at least 50cm**.
• In case of Hawk Peak system drop from a
table, the drop distance can be higher if
performed on carpet or wooden floor.

ground is 64cm. Hawk Peak system height is 18cm. That makes system to be
