3. Display…
Quality of Display depends on Resolution
It is usually quoted as width ×
height, with the units in pixels: for
example, "1024 × 768" means the
width is 1024 pixels and the height
is 768 pixels. This example would
normally be spoken as "ten
twenty-four by seven sixty-eight"
or "ten twenty-four by seven six
eight".

Battery is called the LIFE of mobile phone
Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) — mature and well
understood but relatively low in energy density. The
NiCd is used where long life, high discharge rate and
economical price are important. Main applications
are two-way radios, biomedical equipment,
professional video cameras and power tools.
Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) — has a higher
energy density compared to the NiCd at the
expense of reduced cycle life. NiMH contains no
toxic metals. Applications include mobile phones
and laptop computers.

density and lightweight. The technology is fragile and a
protection circuit is required to assure safety. In Bangladesh
most of the mobile device companies are using this type of
battery.

16. RAM, ROM, PROCESSOR…
RAM
Random Access Memory is the memory where the software
resides while it is running along with the data it is using. RAM
is used by both OS and application software.
The RAM is made up of millions of capacitors each capable of
holding one ‘bit’ of information. That means in a RAM of 1
GB there should be at least 1,000,000,000 capacitors since a
Giga byte = 1000 Mega bytes.

18. ROM
The word Read-Only identifies it as "read-only memory", is a form of
data storage. This type of memory keeps the saved data even if the
device power is off. The data on the ROM can be loaded into the RAM if
needed.
PROM
Programmable read-only memory - on this type of chip, you can write only
once, and you cannot modify the burnt data in the ROM chip
EPROM
Erasable Programmable read-only memory - this type of memory you can
rewrite data over the old data, but you cannot keep the old data. so once you
burn the new data into the ROM chip, the old data is gone
Available ROM
19. EEPROM
Electronically Erasable Programmable read-only memory - This
is the best of all the ROMs. With an EEPROM chip, you can

The terms octa-core and quad-core denote the number of
processor cores in a CPU. Octa is eight, quad is four.
A quad-core processor is a chip with four independent units called
cores that read and execute central processing unit (CPU) instructions such
as add, move data, and branch.
It operates twice as fast as a dual-core processor and four times as fast as a
single-core processor, things don't work out that simply.
Octa-core chips have double the number of processor cores of quad-
core chips, right

22. Sensors
A smartphone sensor is any one of a number of different types
of sensing devices installed on a user's phone to gather data for
various user purposes, often in conjunction with a mobile app.
An accelerometer detects acceleration, tilt and vibration to
determine movement and orientation. (Common)
A gyroscope identifies up/down, left/right and rotation around
three axes for more complex orientation details.
A light sensor detects data about lighting levels in the
environment to adapt the display accordingly. (Common)
Available at market
23. A proximity sensor detects when the phone is held to the face
to make or take a call, so the touch screen display can be
disabled to avoid unintended input. (Common)
A fingerprint sensor can enable biometric verification for
secure device and website authentication as well as mobile
payment.
Available at market
A magnetometer/E-Compass detects the direction of
magnetic north and, in conjunction with GPS, determines the
user's location.
An infrared/G-sensor can be used to identify user movements
for gesture recognition.
25. Network
A cellular network or mobile network is a communication
network where the last link is wireless. The network is
distributed over land areas called cells, each served by at least
one fixed-location transceiver, known as a cell site or base
station.
1G networks (NMT, C-Nets, AMPS, TACS) are considered to
be the first analog cellular systems, which started early
1980s. There were radio telephone systems even before
that.
2G networks (GSM, CDMAOne, D-AMPS) are the first
digital cellular systems launched early 1990s, offering
improved sound quality, better security and higher total
capacity. GSM supports circuit-switched data (CSD),
allowing users to place dial-up data calls digitally, so that
the network's switching station receives actual ones and
zeroes rather than the screech of an analog modem.

market
26. 2.5G networks (GPRS, CDMA2000 1x) are the enhanced versions of 2G
networks with theoretical data rates up to about 144kbit/s. GPRS offered
the first always-on data service.
3G networks (UMTS FDD and TDD, CDMA2000 1x EVDO, CDMA2000 3x, TD-
SCDMA, Arib WCDMA, EDGE, IMT-2000 DECT) are newer cellular networks
that have data rates of 384kbit/s and more.
4G technology refers to the fourth generation of mobile phone
communication standards. LTE and WiMax are marketed as parts of this
generation, even though they fall short of the actual standard.

The GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a specialized circuit
designed to accelerate the image output in a frame buffer
intended for output to a display.
Mali T604
First time it was used in Exynos 5 and mali t604 is the 1st Midgard
architecture gpu for arm. It is 5 times better than other previous mali
graphic processors and it can go to single core to quad core. It has been
used in famous series of Google tablet nexus 10.
Mali 400
It is the most used gpu for budget tablet and budget mobiles. The
graphical performance of this gpu is capable of running some casual
games. It has been used in many tablets and mobiles galaxy s3 one of

30. Camera
A camera phone is a mobile phone which is able to
capture photographs. Most camera phones also
record video. The first camera phone was sold in 2000
in Japan, a J-Phone model.
Sensor Size, Pixel Size and Differences in Resolution
As you may already know, sensor resolution is far from being the most
important camera feature and a lot of that has to do with the physical
size of the camera sensor and its pixels.
33. Dimension
Slim
Small in girth or thickness in
proportion to height or lengt
h; slender.
One of the first choices a designer makes
when creating a website is determining its
appropriate dimensions. At a time when
desktop resolutions range anywhere
from 1024x768pxto 2560x1600px, designers
are well accustomed to designing for
the lowest common denominator. It’s not
exactly good practice to create a layout at
1200px wide when 20% of your users are
browsing on a 1024×768 resolution.
34. Perfect Dimension
Kantar Worldpanel’s latest report on mobile
trends has found that many consumers have
started to shy away from the more gargantuan
phone out there.
Customers feel sweet to bring their
phones if it is between 4.5inches and
5 inches.
36. Special Features
SOS
It is the emergency number, 111. so they took
your screaming to mean you were in trouble.
In Our R1 model, you can setup 5
(five) emergency number.
37. OTA & OTG
Short for USB On-The-Go, an extension
of the USB 2.0 specification for
connecting peripheral devices to each
other. USB OTG products can communicate
with each other without the need to be
connected to a PC.
Over The Air (OTA) (or Over-The-Air) is
a standard for the transmission and
reception of application-related
information in a wireless communications
system. The standard is supported by
Nokia, Smart Trust, and others.
