✦ App’s are usually made very bright and bold to attract your attention, or the
opposite very bland but you know what it is. such as Angry birds, using contrasting
colours from the colour wheel - red and blue which attracts your eye to the centre
point of the app which is the bird. Twitter on the other hand is just 2 colours, the
background which is i light blue, and then a picture of a plain white bird in the
middle to make the logo, this is good because it’s basic and everyone knows what it
is.
✦ Most social networking sites have a bold plain logo for there app where as games
have a lot of different colours to try and attract you by making you click their game
and to download it.
5. My Idea.
• I have thought about this idea by thinking who
would buy the t-shirts if they played my game,
would they be hardcore gamers loving the game or
just a simple one with the logo or picture so people
would think it’s look cool even though they only play
the game casually.
6. Iphone Mock up
I have decided to use these apps, Angry birds
and Cut the rope are games related to ninja
rush, by having to get as many points on one
level to proceed onwards. also they are both
challenging games, Ninja rush is also classed as
a challenging game.
The Social media network sites are good
because it is how your game would easily get
recognised by someone talking about it such as
twitter using #ninjarush and people would see it
and then maybe click on it to actually see what
it is about. People would use YouTube maybe to
watch tutorials on certain games or look at
trailers of the games that are going to be
released.
7. Research on game t-shirts
Using the website merchaslyum for printing t-shirts for small business, it costs them
£390 for 100x2 coloured t-shirts this works out at £3.90 per t-shirt being made, the
business can sell there t-shirts at £15 if the game may be a big hit they can get a very
large profit, for example, super-meat boy had a lot of merchandise one of them being t-
shirts, if they went through this company and sold 1000 t-shirts they would of made
around £11100 profit alone on the t-shirts.
8. Research on iPhone game
cases.
iPhone cases for MW3 are quite expensive, at sale for around £23-26 per iPhone case they cost
around £8.99 using the website, ‘vistaprint’ This means that every 1000 cases they would make it
would cost them £8990 but if they sell the whole 1000 they could make up to £23000-26000. this
means they have a profit of £14010 - £17010.
9. 1st Idea.
For my first idea, it is aimed at the casual gamers, i decided to do this
because it’s a simply design with the characters on the t-shirt facing each
other on the back. Also if the casual gamers are interested but not overly
hyped about the game this is a good t-shirt as it has the two main
characters of our game and stands out but not to much.
10. 2nd Idea.
My 2nd idea incorporates the idea of having a wallpaper or a cover for a case of
something will all the equipment or weapons on it, this goes to the more hardcore
gamers as it shows that they love playing a smartphone app game, if i create a
case for a phone then people will be able to recognise it and know what the case
is about, for example, Angry birds have made their own phone cases as well and
it stands out in the crowd. this is why i would want to make a iPhone case.
14. Idea to take forward.
I have thought about the idea i would want to take forward, I have chosen the iPhone
case, this is because they are a good way for sales and are aimed at both hardcore
and casual gamers, people may just like the case for the design with the weapons,
characters on it and the hardcore gamers would like it because it shows that they
enjoy the game, also they can be sold for cheaper than t-shirts/hoodies and I think
more people would be interested in buying a case for their phone.
15. Feedback.
Scott says he prefers the phone case this is because the text and the white
phone case go well together, and t-shirts can be boring at times as people just
wear what they want or if they are in fashion where as the phone case is there
and it looks like it would work well for a product.

Improvements: Have the companies name (abandoned games) in small at the
bottom of the phone case, also have a black outline and less pixelated text on
the case.

I did not like the t-shirt design as it can come up to often and it only shows the
characters, this is why you should go with the iPhone case as not many
companies would do these as they would rather go for t-shirts.
16. Composition remake
✦ after feedback i had to make a few changes to
my image, for example move the logo to the
centre points, make the characters sketch grey.

17. Action plan for improvements.
✦ I thought that with the two pictures that i have
chosen to improve i could take the pictures
from each one and then mix them together, so
for example you could have the camera angle
over the shoulder of the secret agent looking at
the ninja whilst firing a bullet in slow motion.
18. 12+ App.
✦ Our game we would rate is 12+ This is because there is intense cartoon violence, and mild use of mature
suggestive themes, it subject matter could be similar to a 12 movie.
✦ There are no use of drugs or any sign of drugs being used.
✦ There could be use of intimate behaviour, this is due to the shooting of ninja stars and shooting of guns, so
children could just pick something up and throw it at someone thinking they are either the ninja or secret agent.
✦ There is no use of bad language in our game.
✦ No nudity is shown in the game.
✦ No sex or sexual activity is used in the game.
✦ There is use of threat in our game even though the game may be disturbing by firing bullets, jumping obstacles
and getting hit by ninja stars it is sustained in an appropriate way.
✦ Violence in our game is moderate but it a cartoon style, it does not show detail such as blood spewing out of
enemies, for example, when they die or you die you just vanish, if you was to die you would just go to the next
screen saying you have died. but the violence shows use of weapons such as guns, ninja stars that you can use in
the game to kill the enemy.
19. What i will be doing now.
From the feedback i have received i will be changing my idea a little bit, by changing
the pictures of the case slightly, i will research a little about phone cases and how they
frame there pictures and how big the picture size on the case is.
For example this phone case i researched earlier
shows the title is very bold and is landscape so that
they can see it easier and it shows as a clearer picture,
also it takes up the majority of the case which is good.
as there is not much space that is covered up.
20. Change from the feedback
I have changed my phone case by adding in our companies logo so far, but i
didn't change the black outline on ninja as i prefer the rustic looks that it has
at the moment, it shows that the game has an authentic look towards it, and
due to it being set in an abandoned warehouse i think it would work well like
this at the moment.
21. Colours.
✦ I have decided to follow on just a small bit by testing colours, i thought that darker
colours would work well than brighter bolder colours due to the style of my game
which is shooting, even though the colours are dark they are still brightish colours
and stand out well with the colour of the ninja and the agent.
