• Use clear, concise, and jargon free language
• Use measurable criteria e.g. give two to three solution for
problem.
• Possibly use less columns and rows

disadvantages
• Advantages
– Reduces the hassles
– can keep focus on skill or knowledge
– It is used to give feedback, identifying specific levels of
student performance allows the teacher to provide more
detailed feedback to students.
• Disadvantages
– Rubrics do require an initial investment of your time. But once
they are completed, they are easily adaptable to various
grade levels, subject areas, and specific assignments.
– Articulating the gradations of the rubric is sometime
challenging.
