Newmont, Taliwang, Sumbawa Besar, Ampang, Dompu, Raba, Labuhan Bajo, Ruteng,
Bajawa, Ende, Maumere, Waingapu dan Kupang.

Batam Singapore Cable System (BSCS) – PT. TELKOM

BSCS is a submarine cable system connecting Batam Centre station (Batam) to Telin station
(Singapore). The total system length is around 72.93 km, connecting the landing sites through
six fiber pair cables, with stub cable is provided for future extension of the system. Initially, two
fiber pair is equipped with four channels of 10Gb/s each realizing an initial capacity of 80Gb/s.
Four other fiber pairs are purposely left as dark fibers for future expansion. At Batam, between
the BMH at Nongsa landing and Batam Center station, two distinguish land routes are utilized
to transmit/receive four 10Gb/s channels (40Gb/s) each. This design further increases the
reliability of the system.
DMCS – PT. TELKOM
Dumai Melaka Cable System (DMCS) is
owned jointly by PT. Telkom and Telekom
Malaysia. This was the second submarine

        (Thailand Indonesia Singapore) cable.

        Length approx. 160 km
        Contractor : NEC Corp.

Capacity : design 320 Gbps, initial 20 Gbps
        protected (10 Gbps channels, 16 Lambdas, 2
        FP), Unrepeatered system

DMCS capacity in this time is 20 Gbps or
        equivalent by 121.000 maximum extension
phone at a time and DMCS maximum capacity
is 320 gigabit per second ( Gbps), equivalent
by 3.870.720 extension phone at a time

SJC will connect Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and other Asian countries.
The Submarine Cable to be installed uses the newest Submarine Cable technology with the capacity to transmit 64 WL (wave
length) at each fiber pair and 40 Gbps per WL so that the SJC submarine cable will have design capacity 17 Terabyte per
second (Tbps) able to upgrade up to 23 Tbps. It is planned that SJC will be handled by NEC and Tyco.
The SJC consortium is composed of Brunei International Gateway Sendirian Berhad (BIG), China Mobile, China

SEA-ME-WE 3 – Indosat segment 14 & 16

SEA-ME-WE 3 or South-East Asia - Middle East - Western Europe 3 is an optical submarine
telecommunications cable linking those regions and is the longest in the world, completed in late 2000. It was
commissioned in March 2000. In November 1997 C&MA was signed by 92 International telecommunication
administrations. It includes 39 landing points in 33 countries and 4 continents from Germany to Australia.

It is 39,000 kilometres (24,000 m) in length and uses Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology with
Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) transmission to increase capacity and enhance the quality of the signal,
especially over long distances (this cable stretches from North Germany to Australia and Japan). The cable
system itself has two fibre pairs, each carrying (as of May 2007) 48 wavelengths of 10 Gbit/s

PGASCOM

PGASCOM was developed to serve the changes in the need for telecommunication networks in
Sumatera and Java Area.
The Company manages its network and optics along 1300 km from Singapore to Batam, Jambi, Grissik,
Prabumulih, Bandar Lampung, Kalianda, Anyer, to Cilegon. Next June, Pgascom will build fiber optic
network from Cilegon to Jakarta.
With a capacity of 160 Gbps, Pgascom selling bandwidth to telecom operators, mobile operators, network
access providers and large corporations.

SEA-ME-WE 3 – Indosat segment 14 & 16 SEA-ME-WE 3 or South-East Asia - Middle East - Western Europe 3 is an optical submarine telecommunications cable linking those regions and is the longest in the world, completed in late 2000. It was commissioned in March 2000. In November 1997 C&MA was signed by 92 International telecommunication administrations. It includes 39 landing points in 33 countries and 4 continents from Germany to Australia. It is 39,000 kilometres (24,000 m) in length and uses Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology with Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) transmission to increase capacity and enhance the quality of the signal, especially over long distances (this cable stretches from North Germany to Australia and Japan). The cable system itself has two fibre pairs, each carrying (as of May 2007) 48 wavelengths of 10 Gbit/s
