           Mahayana Buddhism
 The “Great Vehicle.”
 Founded in northern Asia (China, Japan).

 Seek guidance from Boddhisatvas, wise beings.
 Goal: Not just individual escape from the wheel,
  but the salvation of all humanity through self-
  sacrifice of those enlightened few.
