7. Early Life
Born 05 August, 1850 & was the ist son
Remained with his mother and was very fond
of fishing and outdoor activites.
At the age of 13 he was sent to a seminary for
classical studies
He was deliberately got himself expelled at his
first seminary school .
He was then moved to Lycee Pierre-Corneille
in Roune where he proved himself a good
scholar and took interest in poetry.

he enlisted and served for a couple

In 1871, he left Normandy for Paris
where he worked as a clerk in the
