Amantes
Somoscomo sonlosque se aman.
Al desnudarnosdescubrimosdos
monstruosos
desconocidosque se estrechanatientas,
cicatricescon que el rencorosodeseo
señalaa losque sindescansose aman:
el tedio,lasospechaque invenciblenosata
ensu red,como enla faltados dioses
adúlteros.
Enamoradoscomo doslocos,
dos astrossanguinarios,dosdinastías
que hambrientasse disputan unreino,
queremosserjusticia,nosacechamos
feroces,
nos engañamos,nosinferimoslasviles
injurias
con que el cieloafrentaa losque se aman.
Sólopara que mil vecesnosincendie
el abrazo que enel mundosonlos que se
aman
mil vecesmorimoscadadía.
Lovers
We are the oneswholove eachother.
Whenwe undress,we discovertwo
monstrous
Strangerswhogrope,
Scars withwhichthe spiteful desire
Pointstothose whorelentlesslylove each
other:
The tedium, the suspicionthatinvincible ties
us
In hisnet,as inthe lack of twoadulterous
gods.
In love like twocrazy,
Two bloodthirstystars,twodynasties
How hungrytheydispute akingdom,
We wantto be justice,we stalkfierce,
We deceive ourselves,we inferthe vile
insults
Withwhichheaveninsultsthose wholove
each other.
Justso that a thousandtimeswe catch fire
The embrace in the worldare those wholove
each other
A thousandtimeswe die everyday.
