Richard Branson is the founder of Virgin Group, which contains around 300 companies with over $25 billion in revenue. He dropped out of school at age 16 and began his entrepreneurial career by starting Student Magazine and Virgin Records. Throughout his career, Branson launched many successful companies in various industries like airlines, music, mobile phones and more. He displayed an unconventional leadership style focused on innovation, taking risks, and having fun in business. Branson also pursued many personal adventures like crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a hot air balloon.

 He is an English business magnate and investor.
 Founder & CEO of Virgin Group which contains around 300 companies

 At the age of16, dropped out from school and moved to London and launch
“Student Magazine”, which did relatively more success.
 At the age of 19, founded the “Virgin mail order record company”. Success In
selling mail order records, opening of a record shop then launched own record

 Branson is also known for his personal adventures…
 In 1986, smashed the world record for the fastest crossing of the
Atlantic by using Virgin Atlantic Challenger.
 In 1987/1991, crossed the Atlantic ocean in the Virgin Atlantic Flyer,
which was the first and largest hot air balloon.
 In 2004, set a record by crossing the English channel between
Britain and France on an amphibious vessel.

 In 1993, Mr Branson was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of
Technology from Loughborough University.
 In 2000, Branson received the Tony Jannus Award for his
accomplishments in commercial air transportation.
 In 2007's Time Magazine ranked his as a Top 100 Most Influential
People in the World.
 In 2014, Branson received the 2014 Business for Peace Award.
