3. CLASS FORMATION
There are 7 Chinese Studies classes in Prep.
There are about 17 to 18 children in each Chinese class, as
compared to 20 in Homerooms.
There are no levels among the 7 classes.

All the activities are designed and conducted in order to help
the kids in developing their four skills in Listening,
Speaking, Reading and Writing.
11. Assessment
The teachers will be observing the children throughout
the year during the learning and teaching process, in
order to assess their development in terms of Listening
& Speaking, Reading and Writing skills.
12. Observation
Observation will be carried out while the kids are singing
and saying rhymes, having simple conversation taught,
doing role plays, being engaged in reading simple books,
recognizing words taught, etc.

Reading program PROGRAM
Start after Christmas
A paper folder with a storybook will be sent
home for reading during weekends

19. Introducing QR code
1.Download “QR code reader” apps from your mobile phone
2.Scan the code on the reading book
3.Start to listen as frequent as you can
20. Reading Programme
Signature is required after reading.
Inform us of any concerns about reading

CARDS
Flash cards will be sent home
for every unit, please help the
students to review at home.
22. parents’ support
Listen to your kid reading books, singing songs and
saying rhymes at home.
Encourage your kid to share what he/she has
learnt in class.
Review & play with the Character cards at home.
Remind your kid to bring back the Red bag ( reading folder
& Worksheet folder) on Mondays or after holidays.
Read the storybooks with your kid at the weekends
after the Reading Programme starts.
