15. Assessment
Observation will be carried out while the kids are
singing and saying rhymes, having simple conversation
taught, doing role plays, being engaged in reading
simple books, recognizing words taught, etc.
The teachers will be observing the children throughout the
year during the learning and teaching process, in order to
assess their development in terms of Listening & Speaking,
Reading and Writing skills.

Reading program aims at building up students’ reading habit
and interests. Please sign the reading folder for your child.
The books will be sent home on Friday and please remind your
child to read and return the book by Wednesday.

19. Homework

G1 MHL Class homework time:
about 5-10 minutes per day
!
•Homework includes:
• Reading
( texts / rhymes / storybooks ) .
• Writing
( new words /workbooks /worksheets).
!
*No homework on weekend & holidays.
*No Character assessment on Monday.
• Character assessment on Thursdays
(Please sign on the character assessment
paper after you read it.)
