• The death penalty, also known as Capital
Punishment, is punishment by death for a
crime.

• Discrimination and racial profiling is proof that
a new system is needed.
• A lifelong prison sentence can prove more
cruel then a speedy execution.
• Abolishing Capital Punishment would tell the
public that our laws are incapable of
delivering what most Americans consider
genuine justice.

• In the 1980’s the college of law found that 10
of 16 men were minorities.
• Of the 58 people on federal death row, 23 are
white, while roughly 35 are minorities.

• On average women are arrested 13 percent of
all murders committed in the U.S.
• According to the NAACP only 8 women were
executed in the U.S. between 1977 and
2001, while 741 men were executed.

unconstitutional.
