2.  Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga (Spain) in
1881. He died in France in 1973.
 He started to paint very early because his
father was an Art professor.
 He moved to France where he met many
important artists.
 He never came back to Spain because he did
not want to live in a dictatorship.

3.  He painted that painting when he was 14 years
old.

4.  One of his paintings was “The old Guitarist.”
 This painting belongs to the blue period.

5.  He painted with red, pink and briyht colors in
the pink period.

6.  Cubism was an innovative art movement
invented by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque.
 Artists began to look at subjects in new ways in
an effort to depict three-dimensions on a flat
canvas.
 They would break up the subject into many
different shapes and then repaint it from
different angles.
 They used simple shapes.
